===== Overview =====
The cooking system in Sea of Conquest allows players to combine ingredients in the Galley to create dishes that replenish the crew's supplies and maintain morale during voyages. Without supplies, sailing speed drops significantly and sailors can be lost. Dishes can also be sold in the Mess Hall for Gold. Recipes are divided into five quality tiers: C, B, A, S, and S+.

==== The Galley ====
The Galley becomes available when the flagship reaches **Level 4**. Up to 4 ingredients can be combined at once. If the combination matches a known recipe, the result is previewed before producing. Unknown combinations result in an "Unknown Dish." Every newly discovered recipe rewards the player with **20 Emeralds**. Even failed combinations yield "Undesirable Food" with minimal gold value.

==== Season Availability ====
Recipes and ingredients are tied to game progression. Each new season opens new seas that unlock new ingredients — and therefore new recipes. Earlier seasons' recipes remain available as you progress.

Ingredients come from various sources aboard the flagship and on the world map:

* **Chicken Coop** – provides Eggs daily
  * **Cattle Shed** – provides Milk daily
  * **Salvage Bay** – provides aquatic products and fish
  * **Treasure Chests & Wrecked Ships** – occasional ingredients while exploring
  * **Armed Freighters** – combat rewards include rare ingredients
  * **Sea Monsters** – loot occasionally contains special ingredients

Tip: Upgrade ship rooms and assign sailors to each station to maximize daily production.

The **Efficiency** column shows Gold per ingredient unit used (total Gold ÷ total ingredient count). Higher values mean better return per ingredient slot.
