Gold Farming Guide

Overview

Gold is the primary everyday currency in Sea of Conquest, used for hero upgrades, port fees, equipment purchases, and many other actions. This guide covers all known methods for efficiently earning Gold — from passive auto-trading to active farming activities.

Trading System

Trading between ports is the most effective and scalable Gold source in the game.

Core principle: Buy goods cheaply at one port and sell them at a premium at another. Ports displaying a green upward arrow on the world map indicate goods in high demand that command higher prices.

Route optimization:

  • Long routes between distant ports yield more profit than short ones.
  • Level 3 to Level 3 or Level 3 to Level 1/2 port combinations are profitable pairings.
  • When your Gang controls a port, members receive a 20% bonus on goods sold there.
  • In the early game, investing Gold at the Governor to raise Reputation permanently increases trade profit on all future routes.

Auto-Trading: Enable auto-trade on the most lucrative route. The ship then operates automatically even while offline, generating passive Gold income. Always monitor food supply and enable “Auto-Replenish” at the port.

Mess Hall and Cooking

Cooking and selling food and drinks in the Mess Hall is a reliable passive Gold source:

  • Sumptuous Cakes (3 Milk + 1 Egg) are a well-known efficient recipe for steady Gold income.
  • Sell cooked dishes in the Mess Hall at the best available price.
  • Higher-level Galley and Henhouse rooms increase daily ingredient yield.

Pirate Revel Event

The Pirate Revel event occurs unconfirmed approximately every two weeks and is completed by cooking food. Community reports mention potential rewards of over 4 million Gold per completion. Exact amount depends on game version

Plundering Merchant Ships

Sinking merchant ships yields cargo that can be sold at ports. This method raises Infamy and should be weighed against the desired PvP profile. Merchant ships appear regularly on the world map.

Black Market

The Black Market offers daily rotating goods and equipment at reduced prices. Regularly check for Gold-relevant offers and take advantage when available.

Treasure Hunting

Treasure maps come from missions, the Golden Compass (first visit to new ports), and other reward sources. Digging up treasure yields Gold and additional resources. Do not let treasure maps accumulate — redeem them promptly.

Raids and Quests

  • In-game missions and commissions at ports deliver Gold as a direct reward.
  • Gang activities such as Kraken hunting, Squad Raids, and territory capture indirectly yield Gold through Honor points and reward packages.
  • Use the Wanted List: tap the Infamy icon → View Warrant. Defeating wanted players delivers Gold Coins by mail.

Daily Structure for Maximum Gold

Activity Frequency Gold Source
Run auto-trade route Continuously Passive
Cook and sell in Mess Hall Daily Passive + Active
Check Black Market Daily Active
Redeem treasure maps As available Active
Sink merchant ships Opportunistically Active
Complete port commissions Daily Active
Complete Pirate Revel event Every ~2 weeks Event

Tips

  • Never let the ship run out of food — enable Auto-Replenish so auto-trading is never interrupted.
  • Prioritize Gang-controlled ports as selling destinations (20% bonus).
  • Only buy cosmetics and decorations from the Black Market when Gold is abundant — trade investments come first.
  • Upgrade the Governor's Reputation before other Gold expenditures.
