Ship Interior Design and Customization
Overview
The Flagship in Sea of Conquest serves simultaneously as a combat ship and a mobile home base. Inside the ship, various rooms (Cabins) can be built and positioned to produce resources, increase combat power, and unlock additional game features. This guide explains how the interior system works, how to rearrange rooms, and what upgrade priorities to follow.
Core Mechanics of the Cabin System
The Flagship has a grid of build slots where Cabins are constructed. As the Flagship levels up, new slots are unlocked, allowing progressively more and higher-tier Cabins to be installed.
Types of Cabins:
- Combat Cabins: Gun Bays directly increase firepower and should be built in as high a quantity as possible.
- Production Cabins: Galley, Henhouse, Distillery — produce ingredients for cooking.
- Utility Cabins: Mess Hall (for selling food), Infirmary (healing), Storage Rooms (cargo capacity).
- Crew Cabins: Oarsmen Quarters increase ship speed by housing more rowers.
Moving and Rearranging Rooms
Cabins can be repositioned even after construction — no reset is required:
# Long-press a room for 2 seconds to enter edit mode. # Then drag and drop the room to the desired slot. # Rooms that are not currently needed can be temporarily removed from the active grid using the “Stow” option, without losing them permanently.
Practical tip: Players who accidentally placed suboptimal rooms while leveling up can stow them at any time and replace them with higher-priority Cabins. A full rebuild is not necessary.
Underwater Section
The lower section of the ship's grid contains slots below the waterline. Gun Bays cannot be installed there — this area is reserved for Storage Rooms and other non-combat Cabins. Players who have filled the entire underwater section with Storage Rooms cannot add Gun Bays there. However, stowing Storage Rooms frees up slots for other purposes.
Cabin Upgrade Priorities
For balanced development, the community recommends the following order:
| Priority | Cabin | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Gun Bay | Direct combat power — build as many as possible |
| 2 | Storage Room | Higher capacity = more resources on trade routes |
| 3 | Oarsmen Quarters | Speed bonus |
| 4 | Galley + Henhouse | Ingredients for the Mess Hall gold source |
| 5 | Mess Hall | Food sales for Gold income |
| 6 | Infirmary | Crew healing after combat |
Sail Color and Cosmetics
In addition to the interior, the ship's exterior can also be customized:
- Change sail color: Ship → zoom out until cannon, sail, and rudder are visible → tap the sail → Brush icon → choose a color or pattern. Requires a Paint Bucket item.
- Additional cosmetic customizations are available through the Black Market and event rewards.
Equipping and Recycling Ship Parts
Ship parts (sails, cannons, rudders, etc.) are equipped separately and improve specific combat stats:
- Parts can be socketed and upgraded in the equipment view.
- Unused parts can be recycled into Stones: Inventory → Ship Parts → Recycling icon (top right) → select parts.
- Stats vary even among parts of the same rarity — always compare before upgrading.
Tips
- Gun Bays are the highest priority — the more, the stronger the ship in combat.
- Stow rooms that are currently idle (e.g., ingredient-production Cabins when the Galley is fully built) to free space for combat Cabins.
- Only upgrade ship equipment once you have Legendary parts at level 12 — materials spent before that cannot be recovered.
- Increase storage capacity early so auto-trade routes are not interrupted by a full hold.
